Information

An ONSITE PPI inspection provides an objective, independent viewpoint on the general mechanical , electrical and structural condition of the motor vehicle. The assessment is based on a non-invasive external and operating assessment only and is valid at the time of the appraisal. The assessment may not identify any hidden defects, concealments or intermittent problems that cannot be identified on a visual assessment or that may become evident after the assessment. We have taken all  reasonable care and skill in completing the examination of the vehicle and with the preparation of this report. This is a limited assessment and we do not guarantee the condition of the vehicle at the time of purchase. The assessment report will not identify whether any of the systems or parts of the vehicle will continue to operate acceptably. For coverage of potential future repairs you should consider purchasing a Mechanical Warranty Insurance policy.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

The inspection carried out is a non-invasive visual inspection. The only parts removed may be engine covers and components to access spark plugs and the air filter providing they are immediately accessible. Due to modern vehicles being more complex and the labor required, we do not carry out a compression test, a modern engine computer will generally pick up on these faults and put up an engine check light on the dash or log a fault in the engine computer, please consider our on-board diagnostic report for this reason Transmission and driveline oils are only checked if there is a dipstick present, however any oil leaks are noted.

WHAT WE RECOMMEND PRIOR TO PURCHASING A VEHICLE
Ensure that the Warrant of Fitness is less than 28 days old and from a reputable company

Purchase a Vehicle Information Report (VIR) online. This will tell you if there is any money owing to a finance company, Re-registration history (write-off history) and depending on the level of the report it will show ownership history.
